The purpose of the study is to examine and analyse creative heritage Fedir Nedoshovenko, painter teacher, whose works represent Kyiv school Ukrainian painting second half 20th century. artist’s activity, his artistic practice – both in painting, teaching inextricably linked with a deep understanding laws fine art context European culture. methodology article formed by set methods such as history structural axiological methods. empirical research are used: observation, comparison, experiment. Abstraction, analysis synthesis applied at theoretical levels research. Historical method systematic approach used generalisation. Scientific novelty consists creativity, pedagogical which determined principles genres. For first time, achievements genre portrait, still life, easel specific features, means expression each artist's work analysed. Conclusions. activity Nedoshovenko was pre-war post-war period within boundaries State Art Institute, on territory artist lived family taught. content broad sense man, diverse nature, human life. world confirms that true reflection reality, announced realistic aesthetics, an important objective law art, taught studied.
